District News

We are proud to share that both of our DECA School-Based Enterprises have achieved the highest level of recognition for 2026.

The Tiger’s Den earned Gold-Level Certification, and the Roar Store earned Gold-Level Re-Certification.

As part of the certification process, our SBE student leaders completed a comprehensive written project demonstrating how their businesses meet National Curriculum Standards and adhere to professional model business standards in retail and food service operations. This recognition reflects the strong integration of classroom instruction with real-world, hands-on business experience.

This academic year marked a record-breaking number of submissions nationwide, with over 1,000 SBEs applying for chapter certification:

  • 989 earned Gold-Level Certification or Re-certification

  • 6 earned Silver-Level Certification

  • 4 earned Bronze-Level Certification

Gold-Level SBEs are eligible to bring up to two members to participate in the exclusive SBE Academy and competition at this year’s International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Atlanta, Georgia.

In addition, our chapter earned Thrive Level Recognition in all three campaign areas — Membership, Promotion, and Community Service.

With these achievements combined, Fleetwood DECA now has eight students qualified to compete in Atlanta this April at ICDC. This is an incredible milestone for our program and a testament to the hard work, leadership, and commitment of our students.  The week of February 16,  15 students will compete at the PA DECA State Career & Development Conference in Hershey, PA, with the hopes of qualifying for ICDC.

We are extremely proud of our members for representing Fleetwood Area High School with professionalism, excellence, and integrity. Thank you for your continued support of our students and the DECA program.
