Dear Willow Creek Families,
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm I write this letter to you as the incoming principal of Willow Creek Elementary School. I am honored to have this opportunity and excited for the start of the school year and meeting all of the students. I bring with me 22 years of experience in education. I have held many roles over my years in education; teacher, coach, instructional leader, and administrator. I have worked in three different states and no matter where I am I find that my most important job is always to be an advocate for our children. I will spend a great deal of my time with your children, getting to know their personalities, learning styles, and interests. I will celebrate their successes, small and large. I will encourage them every day and let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school and community.
Not only am I excited to begin working with your children, but I am looking forward to the work we will do together. I look forward to meeting you and seeing your children through your eyes. I am here to assist you navigate any need you or your child(ren) may have at school.
My goal is to ensure that all children are healthy, happy, and safe, so that they learn as much as they can in addition to enjoying their time at Willow Creek Elementary School.
I am also excited to share that November 9, 2019, I will be getting married. So, upon my return from my honeymoon on November 19, 2019, I will be Michelle J. Zellner.
Once again, I am so grateful to have the opportunity to bring all of my experiences to this wonderful school and district. I look forward to getting to know you and your children. I hope to see you either at our Kindergarten Orientation on August 20th or Meet the Teacher night on August 21st.
You partner in education,
Michelle D. Jackson
