What is Total Experience Learning®?
Total Experience Learning® (TExpL) fully engages students in the classroom. The TExpL model promotes student choice and voice in the classroom. It takes a reverse approach to the traditional model (I do, We do, You do) and promotes collaborative planning with other teachers K-12th Grade. Students engage in inquiry learning to get them hooked on the content for a lesson or unit. TExpL promotes the building of life skills rather than memorizing content. Fleetwood Area School District has had a partnership with TExpL since September 2022 with over 27 teachers and administrators completing the certificate program.

Middle school students proudly presented their Nature Center Restoration project to a group of teachers and administrators. Through their hard work and dedication, they have revitalized the nature center and pond area behind the school. Supported by multiple grants and generous donations, the students have helped transform the space into a thriving outdoor learning environment.

Students applied math skills by calculating averages and percentages based on basketball shots made—a fun and engaging way to bring learning to life and make math meaningful and relevant.

Students are designing their own languages, drawing inspiration from the writing systems of ancient civilizations to better understand how early cultures communicated and recorded information.

Through this simulation, students gain valuable insights into the electoral process and the importance of informed citizenship.

At Willow Creek Elementary School, our kindergarten students recently experienced a special Classroom Transformation Day—and stepped into the exciting world of medicine! The classrooms were transformed into mini hospitals, complete with doctor bags, patient charts, and plenty of imagination.

Students became "doctors for the day" as they rotated through hands-on learning stations focused on literacy, math, and science—all with a medical twist!
